About the Pathway-7 Colts Connection Center

In 1989, Pathway to Recovery began with a vision to create Indiana’s first recovery-first housing continuum that fully integrated substance use recovery and mental health support. What started as a single housing unit has evolved into a robust continuum of care with several properties across the city.

Opened in 2025, the Colts Connection Center at Pathway-7 represents the next chapter of our mission. This stunning facility features 21 residential units and a vibrant community hub designed for all Pathway residents, partners, and the broader recovery community.

Pathway-7 was born from listening—to residents who asked for a place to gather, learn, heal, and create; to partners who wanted more space to serve; and to a city that needs more recovery-first, affordable homes.

In addition to housing, the center offers therapeutic activities that have long been inaccessible and unaffordable for people in recovery.

Our comprehensive on-site services include:
  • Life & Career: Financial literacy, workforce development, parenting classes, and legal navigation
  • Health & Wellness: Yoga, mindfulness, and mobile health clinics
  • Creative Arts Therapy: Painting, photography, creative writing, and music

These services are designed to help our community build a deeper connection with themselves and others. By fostering these bonds, they develop the skills needed to be active, contributing members of society.

Honoring Jim Irsay’s Legacy

The Colts Connection Center was made possible by Jim Irsay, the late owner, chairman, and CEO of the Indianapolis Colts, and a tireless philanthropist. Jim was a champion for mental health and spoke honestly about his own journey with substance use. He also gave generously to organizations across Indiana, including Indiana University, the YMCA, the Indianapolis Zoo, and Pathway to Recovery. Throughout his life, Jim spoke openly about his struggles with substances, and used his experience to help many others.
