Entry-Level Stabilization Recovery Housing in Indianapolis
Pathway to Recovery provides income-based and peer-led substance-free housing for individuals in all stages of recovery, from untreated addiction to long-term sobriety and independence.
Pathway-1 is our entry-level housing and recovery-first program for men beginning their sobriety journey. This 6–9 stabilization program helps individuals transition from homelessness, untreated substance use, and mental health barriers into a safe, substance-free living environment. At this stage, no one is turned away for lack of funds.
If you’re already six months substance-free and employed full time, explore our semi-independent and permanent housing programs for men and women.

About Pathway-1
Pathway-1 is located on North Alabama Street in Indianapolis and houses up to 24 residents with 24/7 peer-driven support designed to promote accountability and long-term recovery success. Shared rooms and daily meals are provided as part of the program.
Pathway-1 Admission Criteria (Men only)
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old and safely detoxed
- Lack stable housing
- Have a history of substance abuse
- Agree to participate in mental health services
- Commit to a minimum six-month stay
- Follow program expectations and structure
- Work toward successful program completion
Program Goals for Successful Completion
To complete the program, residents must achieve six months of lasting stability by focusing on these core pillars of growth:
- Sustained sobriety
- Mental wellness
- Financial self-sufficiency
- Consistent employment
- Stable housing

If you meet the admission criteria and are interested in joining Pathway-1, please submit a completed application. Eligible applicants may be contacted to schedule an interview based on program availability. Interviews are required before admission into the program.
