Become a Funder or Corporate Sponsor

Pathway began in 1989 with a single house serving 22 people in recovery. We operated from that North Alabama Street location until 1996 when we expanded to our second house. Since those early days, we’ve supported nearly 2,000 Hoosiers and grown to seven housing units.

This growth is only possible through the strength of grantor support and corporate sponsorship. Indiana currently faces a severe substance use and homelessness crisis that has devastated our economy and families across the state. In Marion County alone, over 1,600 people experience homelessness annually due to mental health barriers or substance use disorders.

Our housing programs help people progress from initial recovery to independent living and even home ownership. When you support our mission, you help build a more resilient Indiana. Your partnership empowers people who were once hopeless to becoming stable, upstanding members of society.

New Tax Benefits for Donors

Provisions from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) have updated the way charitable contributions impact federal income taxes.

Universal Deduction

Even if you don’t itemize, taxpayers who take the standard deduction can now deduct up to $1,000 (individuals) or $2,000 (married couples) for charitable gifts.

Strategic Itemizing

For those who itemize, deductions are now available for contributions exceeding 0.5% of your adjusted gross income. You may be able to maximize your tax savings by bunching your donations or making fewer, larger gifts. Keep in mind that the value of itemized deductions, including charitable contributions, is effectively capped at 35% for high-income taxpayers.

Benefits for Seniors

If you’re 70½ or older, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your IRA are one of the most tax-efficient ways to give, allowing you to meet required distributions without adding to your taxable income.

Flexibility with DAFs

Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) continue to be a premier tool for managing your giving timeline while securing an immediate tax deduction.
